Joe’s experience in remodeling began about 20 years ago when he started buying and renovating properties. Between 2017 and 2018, he formed Laura Mae Properties and named the business after his mother. What started with property renovation grew into a full-time remodeling and construction business serving homeowners in Wolcott, CT, and surrounding communities.
As the business developed, Joe saw a recurring problem in the remodeling industry. Homeowners were frustrated by contractors who missed appointments, stopped returning calls, or expected customers to coordinate different trades on their own. We built our approach around addressing those frustrations with reliable communication, clear estimates, and direct project oversight.
Today, we handle residential kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement remodeling and finishing, hardwood flooring, and deck building and remodeling. Joe remains directly involved throughout the process. He keeps scheduled estimate appointments and provides a written estimate within 72 hours of visiting the property. Once work begins, he visits every active job each day to check progress, make sure the right materials are available, and stay informed about what is happening on site.
For full remodels that require additional trades, Joe coordinates the regular plumbing and electrical subcontractors he works with. This gives homeowners one primary person to turn to instead of leaving them responsible for coordinating every stage themselves.
We also believe homeowners should understand what they are paying for. Our estimates outline the work and labor we provide and identify finish items customers will select and purchase separately when applicable.
For us, reliable remodeling means showing up, communicating clearly, and staying involved until the work is complete.

Joe brings about 20 years of property renovation experience to Laura Mae Properties. His hands-on approach shapes how we manage every project, from keeping estimate appointments and explaining the proposed scope to checking active jobs daily and coordinating the trades involved.
